Austrian design virtuoso and serious petrol head Knud Tiroch has long been one of the forerunners in European Hot Rodding. He is, among other things responsible for the Toro Rosso F1 design, and is here presenting his ultimate Hot Rod, the “Retrorod”. Based on the Plymouth Prowler, Knud has gone to extreme lengths to customise the living daylights out of it. With extensive changes to the body work, interior, suspension, transmission and engine, the whole car has been revised to the point where only the front end can be recognised from the original.

The “Retrorod” is a concept car with a body entirely hand made of sheet metal with a 6.6 litre aluminium racing V8 up front ensuring a power delivery of 600 ponies to the rear wheel. Set up with racing suspension, a fast shifting performance transmission and performance disc brakes all around, the “Retrorod” shoves the horizon in your face and ripping it off again faster than you can say “flies on the windscreen”. Having won awards for best concept car at car shows in both Sweden and Finland, this Hot Rod guarantees a unique standing among all the other matte blacks at your local strip.
